11. Baylor Bears

No matter what happens in the rest of the offseason, Baylor has to be viewed as one of the big “winners” in NCAA Basketball. That’s because they were able to keep head coach Scott Drew, who turned the program from being one of the worst situations in the sport to winning the national title nearly 20 years later, currently having them as a top-10 program overall.

Of the six double-digit scorers on the roster, four of them are gone, including the top three individual producers. Star freshman Ja’Kobe Walter is a potential NBA Draft lottery pick, while point guard Rayj Dennis ran out of eligibility. The most recent decision was starting forward Jalen Bridges deciding to forego his last year and go pro.

The Bears did land one of the top transfer guards in the portal a couple of weeks ago in Jeremy Roach, a multi-year starter at Duke. Returning double-digit scorers Jayden Nunn and Langston Love are back for Baylor, along with incoming 5-star guards/wings, VJ Edgecombe and Jason Asemota.

The frontcourt is the current concern, as Bridges and Yves Missi are gone, while JUCO big man Noah Boyed recently de-committing. Look for them to add a center to round out the roster but on paper, there aren’t many better collective backcourts in the country for next season.
