19. Clemson (10-1)
Running off nine straight wins to open the season was impressive for the Tigers, a streak that included true road wins over Alabama and Pittsburgh and a few other nice outings. Their unbeaten start came to an end last weekend at Memphis, albeit a forgivable result. With ACC play coming very soon, the Tigers are looking to make legitimate noise in the conference after quite the surprising start to the season.
Their lone game of this past week came on Friday night against Queens. The Tigers put together their best offensive performance of the season, winning 109-79 over the Royals. PJ Hall starred with 27 points while both RJ Godfrey and Joe Girard III added 19 points, with the Tigers shooting 63% from the field and 53% from long-range.
Hall has been playing a star this season and is a big reason why these energetic Tigers are sitting in this position. We’ve seen how they can handle adversity, falling by just two points on the road before bouncing back. The Tigers have allowed a season-high 79 points in back-to-back games, but their offense is playing at a really high level right now. Only Radford remains before conference play starts, with the Tigers likely 11-1 on New Year’s Day.
