USC Trojans

Eric Musselman to USC seems like the perfect marriage. West Coast ties, elite recruiting and deep postseason runs fit the bill for a long, successful tenure at USC.

Unfortunately for Musselman, who was hired at USC just eight days ago, he is facing a roster that lost its top nine scorers either to graduation or to the portal.

Thankfully for USC, Musselman brings a wealth of experience in the portal and with roster overhaul management. Trojan fans shall not worry just yet. After all, he was hired just over a week ago.

With recent additions of Penn transfer Clark Slajchert (18.0 PPG) and UMass transfer Josh Cohen (15.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG), who flipped his commitment from Arkansas to USC in the wake of Musselman's departure, the Trojans have already made splashes in the portal -- and expect that trend to continue.

UConn Huskies

An ode to the national champs. Or would back-to-back champs be a better -- or only way -- way to describe them? I think so.

After walloping through the NCAA Tournament once again, Dan Hurley is now tasked with (presumably) replacing two lottery picks, Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle, alongside Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton.

Doing the quick math, that is nearly 66% of their scoring average.

Although the roster situation looks murky retention-wise, enlisting doubt toward Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies would be ill-advised.

Next. 10 teams who should target Arizona's Oumar Ballo. 10 teams who should target Arizona's Oumar Ballo. dark

Expect the Huskies to delve deep into the portal and with a pair of four-star recruits on the way with Ahmad Nowell and Isaiah Abraham, the Huskies are well-positioned -- despite being in need -- for a strong offseason to keep the train moving full-steam ahead in Storrs.
