12. Indiana Hoosiers - 3-point specialist

It was a great offseason for the Hoosiers, landing three of the top transfers in the sport. That includes guards Myles Rice and Kanaan Carlyle, two projected starters in the backcourt. But neither they nor former Arizona big man Oumar Ballo are great shooters, or returning forwards, Malik Reneau and Mackenzie. While they did land Illinois transfer Luke Goode, one more true shooter would help Indiana and its potential weaknesses.

11. Baylor Bears - Veteran forward addition

Although they lost a lot of talent, Baylor’s backcourt is fine for next season, with Duke transfer Jeremy Roach joining Jayden Nunn and Langston Love. While freshman star Yves Missi is off to the NBA Draft, Baylor did replace him with double-double machine, Norchad Omier. But one loss that’s flying under the radar is Jalen Bridges, a double-digit starter at the four-spot. There’s not a lot of depth there currently, outside of 5-star freshman Jason Asemota and JUCO transfer, Yanis Ndjonga. Someone with experience at that spot would be a nice final piece to the roster.

10. Auburn Tigers - Another scoring guard

As soon as star big man Johni Broome elected to return for a 5th year, Auburn’s frontcourt was no issue. Even without Jaylin Williams around, Chaney Johnson, Chad Baker-Mazara, and Chris Moore returning gives them plenty of depth. The concern is on the perimeter, having lost multiple guards. If Furman transfer JP Pegues isn’t ready to be a leading guard, the Tigers could use one more proven scorer to feel good about its backcourt.
