17. Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Biggest need: Frontcourt depth

To complement a star-studded recruiting class headlined by Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, Steve Pikiell must look to replace their best big -- Cliff Omoruyi -- who elected to head to the transfer portal alongside forward Mawot Mag (undecided) and Antonio Chol, who recently committed to Howard. Princeton transfer Zach Martini gives Pikiell some length but they will need a more traditional-like big to keep their frontcourt formidable amongst the rigors of the Big Ten.

16. Xavier Musketeers

Biggest need: Healthy frontcourt depth (which was recently addressed)

It was an injury-plagued season for the Musketeers with Zach Freemantle and Jerome Hunter sidelined for the entirety of the year, which hampered Xavier’s overall ceiling. As both look to get healthily in the fold, which might take some time considering they missed an entire season, Sean Miller addressed their biggest weakness -- frontcourt depth -- by adding Oklahoma transfer John Hugley IV, who averaged 8.4 PPG, 3.8 RPG and 1.2 APG. The frontcourt looks formidable at the moment. Yet, the health of both Fremantle and Hunter is key for Xavier in 2024-25.
