NCAA Basketball: Buy or Sell Clemson, James Madison, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss as 2024 NCAA Tournament teams?

Clemson, Oklahoma, James Madison and Ole Miss are four surprise unbeaten teams in NCAA Basketball. Which of them are most likely to make the Big Dance this season?

Over a month ago, we started with over 300 D-I NCAA Basketball programs without a loss. But after this weekend, we're down with fewer than 10 teams without any defeats. Some aren't a surprise at all, including the likes of Arizona, Baylor, and Houston.

Then there's the group of teams that are a bit of a surprise that they've yet to lose. James Madison got on the national radar after beating Michigan State to start the team. Then there's the other three; Clemson, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss. All of them missed the NCAA Tournament a year ago but are off to a good start.

Will it end well for them and the Dukes? Here's my latest "Buy or Sell" piece, looking at the postseason hopes for all four programs.

Clemson Tigers

Despite losing All-ACC forward Hunter Tyson, the Tigers have PJ Hall, who is playing at an All-American level. He's averaging over 20 ppg. Syracuse transfer Joe Girard (15 ppg) is having a big impact on his new team, while forward Ian Schieffelin has had a breakout campaign in place of Tyson, nearly averaging a double-double.

Clemson defeated two previous unbeaten teams in the past week in TCU and South Carolina, though the jury is definitely out on those two. But what happened in the prior week, beating both Alabama and Pittsburgh on the road, certainly is better proof of how good this team can be.

Last year's Tigers squad was fairly good, until a few Quad 4 defeats ruined their resume. That's not happening this time around and the offense is as good as anyone in NCAA Basketball. Look for them to remain as legit ACC and national threats.
