#17 Colorado State: 65-58 loss at Boise State
Colorado State fell short on Tuesday, losing 65-58 to an improved Boise State squad that has gone 8-1 since starting the season 3-3.
The Rams were able to get within one point early in the second half, but that was as close as they would get despite shooting 47.1% from the field compared to Boise State’s 38.9%.
Although a healthy Josiah Strong and Jalen Lake are back in the fold, the Rams have now lost two-straight games shooting 12/40 from behind the arc in their past two losses and have not done a good job with a.) getting to the free-throw line and b.) connecting on those free throws.
Level of concern: 3/10
All in all, I’m not too concerned about Colorado State moving forward as their past two losses have come within single digits on the road. The Mountain West is a gauntlet this year and is looking at five, possibly even six NCAA Tournament bids at the current moment. Isaiah Stevens continues to play well but the Rams will need more scoring from Joel Scott if they want to end their two-game skid. The Rams get the weekend off before facing off against Air Force at home on Tuesday.
