18. San Diego State (13-2)

Fresh off a trip to the national title game, San Diego State is looking to prove that this program can make noise any year. A few of the names are different and they have already lost a few really tough road games, but the Aztecs look strong yet again, especially with the way Jaedon LeDee has emerged this season.

A few days removed from that epic win at Gonzaga, the Aztecs started conference play back on Wednesday with a 74-47 victory over Fresno State. LeDee led the charge with 21 points whihle Micah Parrish added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the blowout. San Diego State got a second conference win a few days later, staying at home for a 72-61 win against UNLV. Unsurprisingly, it was LeDee (20 points, 11 rebounds) who stood out yet again as the Aztecs won their sixth straight game.

Losing at BYU and Grand Canyon is forgivable, especially with how this team looked at Gonzaga and early on in MWC play. San Diego State is a force to be reckoned with, especially if their defense can play the way they did against those Bulldogs. Looking ahead, there are challenges in this conference, including road games at San Jose State and New Mexico next week. Can the Aztecs win this league once again?
