NCAA Basketball: Houston rises, Duke, Arizona, UConn and Baylor fall in latest top-25 power rankings

We're just a few weeks away from Selection Sunday, as teams look to solidify their positioning in their respective NCAA Basketball conferences. As other teams become desperate, the odds of upset wins and losses rises. We saw that this past week, which is why we have a new No. 1 team in the latest top-25 power rankings.

Here's the latest list of top teams, including a few notable honorable mentions.

Honorable Mention: Texas Tech Red Raiders - 19-8 (8-6 Big 12)

The Red Raiders started off the week well with an 82-81 home win over TCU, led by 19 points from Pop Isaacs, with three others chipping in with 14 each. But the team took a step back on the road at UCF, falling 75-61 after scoring just 29 points in the second half, despite 37 combined from Kerwin Walton and Darrion Williams.

HM: Florida Gators - 19-8 (9-5 SEC)

The three-game win streak for the Gators ended in thrilling fashion this past week, falling 98-93 in OT at Alabama. Walter Clayton Jr. had 27 points to keep them in the mix, while Zyon Pullin and Will Richard each had 17. They were able to bounce back in a 77-64 home win over Vanderbilt, with Clayton and Richard combining for 40 points in the backcourt.

HM: Colorado State Rams - 20-8 (8-7 Mountain West)

The road in the Mountain West was not kind to the Rams, falling a both New Mexico and UNLV. Star guard Isaiah Stevens averaged 19 ppg in the two games but didn't get enough from the supporting cast to avoid falling to seven in the conference standings.
