4. North Carolina Tar Heels - 18-4 (10-1 ACC)

The Tar Heels had a 10-game win streak entering this past week and were unbeaten in ACC play. Not only were they in commanding position to win the regular-season title but they also were looking to get a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. But ahead of a big clash against rival Duke this past weekend, the Heels may have overlooked the opponent prior in Georgia Tech.

The Yellow Jackets only had two wins in ACC play but they were against Duke and Clemson, showing they can play up to certain opponents. And on Tuesday, they found a way to get the home upset over UNC, winning 74-73 in the final seconds. RJ Davis had 28 points for the losers but no one else was in double figures on the night.

The loss gave North Carolina extra motivation in the rivalry battle with Duke. It was one of the top offensive performances on the season, with the Tar Heels shooting 50% from the field and getting at least 20 points and 10 rebounds from both Harrison Ingram and Armando Bacot. Davis still managed to score 17 points, even on an off-shooting night from him.

North Carolina now has a 2.5-game lead over Duke in the ACC standings and got another signature win for its resume. They now take on two teams currently on the bubble this week in Clemson and Miami, both of whom are capable of giving the Heels a game.
