The number of days left before Selection Sunday is a rapidly shrinking number. The excitement of the NCAA Tournament fuels this sport and getting there is the ultimate accomplishment, though winning a few games during March feels even sweeter. Before we can even entertain the Big Dance, there are still a plethora of important games, especially in conference tournaments, and we’ve already seen some of that action this past week.

There has been no shortage of activity, with major matchups in every league across the nation. We’ve seen important rivalry tilts, unexpected moments, and everything else in between in college basketball. The eyes and the anticipation are on the NCAA Tournament, but the calendar now reads March and every game’s importance is incredibly magnified.

Today’s focus is not about the NCAA Tournament or about which teams should be in that field. We’re thinking about the best teams in the nation at this point in time. One clear distinction is that the rankings and the seeding in the Big Dance are rarely in sync. We’re still gathering a lot of information about these teams in the week to come before Selection Sunday, but we’re pretty confident that we’re about to share some of the best teams in the nation this season.

Thus, we’re presenting our weekly update to the Top 25 rankings, with changes after another wild week of performances and a Saturday full of action. We’re also seeing how conference tournaments and their seeding is setting up and noting how some teams are playing their best or worst basketball now that we’re in March. Nevertheless, we’ve selected the best teams as per usual and we’ll get right into presenting what we’ve seen and what we know about each of them.
