There were not many power conference games last night but the ones that were on were very good. Rutgers continued their February surge and overcame an 11-point deficit against Northwestern. The Scarlet Knights are looking to play spoiler for the rest of the season. The Scarlet Knights have a game coming up against Purdue and if they can get that game may find themselves on the bubble. Purdue survived a scare from an improved Minnesota team. It is hard to walk into Mackey Arena and play well the Gophers did that and they are another team that is a scary matchup for fellow Big Ten bubble teams.

Utah is now out of the tournament field after losing to USC on the road. Colorado is now out of the tournament field after losing to UCLA. The Pac-12 looks like they are only going to get two bids into the tournament with Washington State and Arizona. Florida Atlantic beat Temple and Memphis continued their month-long swoon with a loss to North Texas. Saint Mary’s stays undefeated in the WCC with a win over Pepperdine.

Yesterday I went 50-18 in my picks and that brings my 100 day total to 2,924-1,192 overall. After 68 games yesterday the Friday schedule is much lighter with only 15 games. Those games are mostly low major games in the MAAC but there are some good games in the Big East, Ivy League, and the Mountain West on the schedule. Friday is yet again being used as a reset heading into a loaded Saturday of games. Picks for day 101 February 16, 2024, are below.

Cornell over Harvard

Villanova over Georgetown

VCU over Saint Louis

Saint Peter’s over Siena

Rider over Mount St. Mary’s

Iona over Manhattan

Fairfield over Niagara

Marist over Canisius

Columbia over Dartmouth

Yale over Penn

Princeton over Brown

Queens over Jacksonville

Kennesaw State over North Florida

Toledo over Ohio

San Diego State over New Mexico

Let’s focus on the Ivy League for a little bit. Yale is currently undefeated in the league and has beaten both Cornell and Princeton. Those games were both at Yale. The Bulldogs hit the road today to play Penn and that is a tough game. If Yale makes it through the weekend undefeated, then they have earned it.

Princeton has lost both of their games in the Ivy League on the road, and they finally return home to face Brown today. Cornell also returns home today to face Harvard. There is going to be a three-team race to the finish in the Ivy. San Diego State faces New Mexico today. The Lobos need to win to stay on the right side of the bubble.
