NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 101 of the 2023-24 season

After a light Friday the Saturday schedule picks up with 4 bubble teams right out of the gate. The rest of the day is going to be fantastic as well.

It seems as if the weekly schedule says to get to Saturday for wall-to-wall great games. I personally would like to see all of those games as stand-alone games on a weekday but what do I know? Friday didn’t provide much in the way of exciting games. Villanova beat Georgetown like everyone knew they would and San Diego State beat New Mexico like we all thought they would. Cornell and Princeton both won keeping pace with undefeated Yale in the Ivy League. The last couple of weeks in that conference are going to be exceptional basketball.

Yesterday I went 13-2 in my picks that brings my 100 day total to 2,937-1,194 overall. It's another Saturday on the schedule that is loaded with games from Bubble teams and there is one top 5 matchup in the Big East. These games are not going to have any effect on the NCAA tournament committee reveal of the top 16 seeds. These games for bubble teams will have the utmost importance and there are some who are going to be on watch today. Picks for day 101 February 16, 2024, are below.

There are some huge games today. UConn puts their number No. 1 ranking on the line against a great Marquette team who comes into Storrs on an 8-game winning streak. The Huskies are good enough to win the game but it is going to be close. Then there is Auburn and Kentucky,  The Wildcats enter the game losing 3 out of their last 4 but dismantled Ole Miss earlier this week for their first win after losing three in a row. Can Illinois finally beat Maryland?

There are a ton of rivalry games today to like Montana and Montana State, Arizona and Arizona State, and Colorado and USC. Houston and their fantastic defense are in action against Texas in Houston. What a great day of hoops.
