NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 41 of 2023-24 Season
By Bryan Mauro
Yesterday was the final day of finals week for most schools and that means that the schedule is going to pick up in a big way the next few days. Yesterday we had some great games even with the lighter schedule. New Mexico used a layup in the waning seconds to beat rival New Mexico State in Las Cruces. Bradley lost at home to Cleveland State. The Braves have now lost 4 in a row after starting off 6-0. UConn beat Gonzaga by double digits in Seattle. The Bulldogs didn’t play that bad. That is how good the Huskies are this year.
Yesterday I went 6-3 in my picks. That gives me a 40 day total of 1,150-420 overall. Today is arguably the best schedule of the season. There are so many games between ranked teams. The schedule is like something you would see on the second weekend of the NCAA tournament but just with a lot more games. Picks for Day 41 December 16 2023 are below.

There is so much there. Every time slot has fantastic games. The best game of the day goes to Purdue and Arizona. The number 1 team who scores points really fast against Zach Edey and his teammates. Number 1 vs Number 3 in that game. Michigan State and Baylor is a great game as well. Something tells me that Michigan State is going to bounce back in a big way and upset Baylor. Houston and Texas A&M is another great game. Houston is a national title contender again and Texas A&M may have the best point guard in the country.
There is something for everyone today. The best mid major games today are Howard and Jackson State in the Chris Paul HBCU classic. Utah State and San Francisco is another good game with great individual players. Finally, can Chicago State win a game against Valpo and make it two wins in a row?
