NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 91 of the 2023-24 season
By Bryan Mauro
Another top 5 team lost in conference on the road again last night. It had been three days since the last occurrence. Kansas State beat Kansas and Kansas after their win against Houston on Saturday night came into the game as number 4 in the country. The Wildcats have never lost a game under Jerome Tang in overtime, and they have only lost two games at the Octagon of Doom under their current head coach. That was the type of win that Kansas State needed to get their season back on track. Virginia is likely headed to the NCAA tournament after blowing out the Miami Hurricanes. Miami failed to score 40 points in the game and lost by 22 points. McNeese got back to winning in the Southland with a 26-point victory.
Yesterday I went 11-6 in my picks which brings my 90-day total to 2,604-1,051 overall. There are a lot of very good power five games today in the SEC, Big 12. ACC, and Big East. Most of the games in those conferences are going to have an impact on the NCAA tournament seeding or the bubble. Outside of those conferences there are crucial games in the Mountain West and the Atlantic 10 as well. Today is going to be an intense day for NCAA tournament teams. It is also going to be an intense day within conferences when it comes to seeding teams. Picks for day 91 February 6, 2024, are below.

There are a lot of games today that are very interesting. Clemson plays North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and the Tigers could desperately use a win to seal their NCAA tournament bid. Houston is looking to bounce back after giving up 70 points in consecutive games. South Carolina is newly ranked and has a brutal matchup with Ole Miss today. Everyone should take the under in the Maryland and Rutgers game as both teams are horrible on the offensive end of the floor.
Butler just got a huge win over Creighton on Friday night; can they follow it up with a win over top-ranked UConn in Storrs? There are a lot of storylines today and today is a day that is going to see a lot of movement one way or another in tournament seeding.
