NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 95 of the 2023-24 season

There is a giant slate of games today. It is not going to be fun to be a fan of a team on the bubble over these next few weeks. Their important games start today.

It is hard to have too many storylines with only three games yesterday but there was one. Dayton lost to VCU on the road which is not going to be good for their quest to get a three seed. Then there is the Nevada Wolf Pack who just beat San Diego State to move to 5-2 in quad 1 wins and will find themselves in the field. Colorado State has won four in a row and they will find themselves in the NCAA tournament field as well. That was it for the games on Friday. Only three games in the entire NCAA.

Yesterday I went 2-1 in my picks which brings my 94 day total to 2,707-1,098 overall. Today is not for the weak it is going to be a huge day of unbelievable basketball and there are a ton of bubble teams who are going to be looking for a win to get themselves in the field or stay in the field. It is going to be a huge day of games and it is going to be hard to figure out which ones to watch. Expect big performances by star players, expect huge wins, and devastating losses. It is the stretch run of the season and it is time for teams to go on a run to earn their way into the NCAA tournament. Picks for day 95 February 10, 2024, are below.

There is a whole lot to talk about today. Let's start in the Big Ten because they have huge games in that league. Ohio State plays Maryland in Columbus and they desperately need a win to keep their season from spiraling out of control. Nebraska plays Michigan in Lincoln and the Huskers are in desperate need of a win to stay in the field. Something tells me Nebraska is going to come out and make a lot of shots and win that game. Indiana travels to Mackey for a showdown with Purdue. The Hoosiers likely will lose but that game always has some intrigue. The first game in that league is between Wisconsin and Rutgers. Can the Badgers get over their three-losing streak in a very tough place to play? Michigan State needs to beat Illinois end of that story.

The Big 12 has the best set of games on the day. Kansas and Baylor is the premier game of the day followed by Iowa State and TCU, and then BYU and Kansas State, Houston and Cincinnati, and Texas and West Virginia. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State round out the day in the loaded Big 12. That league has good games every night that you can never take a breather. Can Gonzaga pick up a win against Kentucky for their first quad 1 win of the year?  I don’t think so but you never know what can happen. A huge day of games on Super Bowl eve.
