17. Ole Miss Rebels - 10-0

After holding on for dear life on the road at UCF, the Rebels had a neutral site battle with Cal, a team that like Ole Miss, has completely rebuilt its roster via the transfer portal. The Hall of Fame Series matchup had a chance to make headlines but knocking off yet another unbeaten team this weekend in NCAA Basketball.

It was a game where Ole Miss and its offense faced little resistance, getting out to a double-digit lead and scoring 46 points in the first half. Cal did just enough to keep the game from being a complete blowout but it was never truly in doubt, as the SEC team won yet again, 88-78.

It was a career-high effort from Jaemyn Brakefield, scoring 27 pts on 8/11 shooting from the field. Matthew Murrell was also fairly efficient with 19 pts on 4/6 3PT shooting, while Allen Flanigan had 12 pts, 8 rebs, and 6 asts. Brandon Murray, one of the sit-out transfers who recently became eligible, had three points off the bench in 17 minutes of play.

Ole Miss now has a great chance to enter SEC play without a single loss, as they now have three games that on paper, should be easy to win. The two games this week are against Sun Belt opponents in Troy and Southern Miss.
