NCAA Basketball: Purdue, Kentucky, Memphis rises, Baylor and Gonzaga falls in latest top-25 power rankings
10. UNC Tar Heels - 7-3 (1-0 ACC)
After losing to UConn in the Jimmy V Classic, the Heels had to wait nearly two weeks for its next game, another key non-conference battle. This time it was against Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic in another top-15 game. This one looked dicey at first, as the red-hot shooting from the Wildcats put UNC at an early disadvantage.
However, UNC made a comeback to make it a one-possession game at halftime. And that's where the game largely stayed for the rest of the game. In the end, Kentucky was able to hold the Tar Heels at arms' length just enough to give them the 87-83 loss.
RJ Davis had a fantastic game, going for 27 pts and 7 rebs. Cormac Ryan had 20 pts on 4/7 shooting from deep. Armando Bacot was the one who struggled, scoring just 9 pts and being affected by Kentucky's newfound size. It was also an off-game for Harrison Ingram, who had just 10 pts on 4/10 shooting.
The schedule still doesn't let up for UNC, as yet another top-15 opponent awaits them. This one is more of a surprise, as Oklahoma is one of the last four unbeaten teams in the country. It's the last big game before a brutal road stretch to open ACC play.
