8. Kentucky Wildcats - 8-2

After beating Penn in Philadelphia, Kentucky took on North Carolina in the headline game of the CBS Sports Classic. They had a tough matchup to deal with in Armando Bacot of the Heels at center but the team got back Ugonna Onyenso, who suffered a foot injury in the preseason and has been out since.

Onyenso only played nine minutes in the game and registered a couple of fouls but Coach John Calipari noted that he played well on the defensive end, helping limit Bacot to single-digits on the night. It played a role in Kentucky finding a way to win in a shootout, 87-83.

Rob Dillingham had a nice game off the bench, leading the team with 16 pts. Fellow five-star freshman DJ Wagner had 14 pts and 5 asts, while big man Aaron Bradshaw had 12 pts on 4/6 shooting. Having both Bradshaw and Onyenso in the frontcourt now gives the Wildcats plenty of frontcourt depth and lineup versatility going forward.

The Wildcats have just one game this week but it's a fairly big one, taking on rival Louisville. HC and former UK assistant Kenny Payne is reportedly on the hot seat and a blowout loss here could be what dooms him before the end of the month. It's likely not to be a close game but there are still storylines to be interested in.
