5. Kansas Jayhawks - 10-1
The Jayhawks entered the week on a five-game winning streak, coming off the big rivalry victory over Missouri. They had all week to focus on the road game at Indiana in the famous Allen Fieldhouse. The road team had luck on its side that starting point guard Xavier Johnson was too injured to suit up.
However, Kansas was caught off-guard by the Hoosiers, down double-digits at first and trailing by eight points at the half. But when you have a group of four starters like Kansas has, you're never fully out of the game. Hunter Dickinson in his return to Indiana produced 17 pts and 14 rebs, while KJ Adams and Dajaun Harris Jr. each were in double figures.
But the star of the game had to be Kevin McCullar Jr., who struggled shooting from the field (3/11 FG) but still managed to score 21 pts, thanks to going 13/16 from the charity stripe, including a few to ice the game late. The Jayhawks came back to win a tight one, 75-71.
Things get a little easier for Kansas in its lone game next week, taking on Yale at home. The Bulldogs are a preseason contender that's capable of giving the Jayhawks fits so don't sleep on that matchup.
