20. Cade Tyson - North Carolina Tar Heels

2023-24 season stats (at Belmont): 16.2 ppg and 5.9 rpg

The former MVC ROY guard was one of the most efficient scorers in all of NCAA Basketball, with shooting splits of 49-47-86. Tyson had a pair of 29-point outings, along with a season-high 31 points versus Samford. The 6’7 sharpshooter will be a replacement for Cormac Ryan on the wing for UNC and very well could be the second option behind RJ Davis.

19. Jaxson Robinson - Kentucky Wildcats

2023-24 season stats (at BYU): 14.2 ppg and 2.5 rpg

The 6’8 wing was the Big 12 6th Man of the Year at BYU, leading the team in scoring after shooting 35% from deep, along with five games of at least 20 points. He’s the lone Cougar to follow Coach Mark Pope over to Kentucky, who very well will start this time around.

18. Ja’Kobi Gillespie - Maryland Terrapins

2023-24 season stats (at Belmont): 17.2 ppg and 4.2 apg

Of the three former Belmont stars, Gillespie led the team in both scoring and passing, shooting 56% from the field and 39% from deep. He also was an all-league defender and a consistent scorer, going for 8+ points in each game. The junior ball-handler is the replacement for Jahmir Young at point for Maryland as one of the best PGs from out the portal this offseason.

17. Sean Pedulla - Ole Miss Rebels

2023-24 season stats (at Virginia Tech): 16.4 ppg and 4.6 apg

The 6’1 guard earned all-league honors last season, leading the team in both scoring and passing. Pedulla is a proven Power Conference performer, including back-to-back 30+ point games versus Clemson and Miami. The veteran ball-handlers join a loaded backcourt at Ole Miss, which has Jaylen Murray and Matthew Murrell. Pedually should still be a starter and give them a floor spacer at the top of the key.

16. Chaz Lanier - Tennessee Volunteers

2023-24 season stats (at North Florida): 19.7 ppg and 4.8 rpg

The 6’4 guard was a breakout star in his first year as a starter, with shooting splits of 51-44-88. Lanier, who led North Florida in scoring, had four games with at least 30 points, including 35 versus North Alabama. Tennessee struck gold in the portal in another star mid-major scorer in Dalton Knecht and the hope is that Lanier can get closer to replacing his production.
