5. Great Osobor, Utah State

From a limited role his freshman year at Montana State three years ago to becoming the 2023-2024 MWC Player of the Year his junior year, Osobor’s move to follow Danny Sprinkle from Bozeman, Montana to Logan, Utah (to now Seattle?) proved to work wonders not only for himself but for his team as well, surpassing low preseason expectations en route to a Mountain West regular-season title. Osobor, who led the team in scoring (17.7 PPG ) and rebounds (9.0 RPG) is an excellent finisher at the rim with unique shot-blocking abilities. The transfer portal market for big men cannot be stressed enough -- it’s elite -- and Osobor certainly fits that mold.

4. Maxime Raynaud, Stanford

After spending the past three seasons under former Stanford head coach Jerod Haase, the Paris, France native is looking for a new home in the 2024-25 college basketball season. Raynaud, although technically classified as a forward, has a typical center frame at 7 '1. The 2023-2024 PAC-12 Most Improved Player averaged a team-high in points (15.5 PPG) and rebounds (9.6 RPG) this year and is agile enough to stretch the floor and become a threat behind the arc, shooting a hair over 36% from three.

3. Cliff Omouryi, Rutgers

Cliff Omouryi, a near-double-double-like player, will have one year of eligibility remaining after spending the past four years under Steve Pikiell at Rutgers. Although Cliff’s averages in scoring and rebounds have taken a dip this year, averaging 10.4 PPG and 8.3 RPG, Omouyi’s physicality at a center spot brings plenty of intrigue to his future school. Although known as an elite defender who is an excellent shot blocker and imposing threat on the glass, Omouryi, under the right system, can provide tangible scoring results, too, with post-ups or put-backs. Cliff is one of the better, if not the best, centers available in the portal.
