We're less than a week away from the NCAA Basketball transfer portal closing for all players, including anyone that could be a graduate. Some big names have entered recently, including Kadary Richmond. He's a 6'5 point guard from Brooklyn, New York and is a former top-100 prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.

After playing a limited role as a freshman at Syracuse, Richmond transferred over to Seton Hall. Ever since, he started 85 games in three years, showcasing his all-around playmaking skills. He averaged at least 4.0 apg each season, along with having around two steals a game.

This past season was the best for Richmond, statistically. He led the team in all three main categories with 15.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, and 5.1 apg, along with 2.2 spg. He had 20+ points at least 12 times, along with a trio of games of double-digit assists. And his best individual game was 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in triple-overtime against Creighton, though he did shoot 8/32 from the field.

Seton Hall has already lost four other starters to either the transfer portal or graduation and now it's five, as Richmond himself as entered the portal. He instantly becomes one of the top free agents available.

With one year of eligibility, Richmond is going to have a ton of interest. But on paper, which programs should get in the mix? Here's a list of six specific options to keep watch.
