Miami Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have recently lost a couple of starters in Norchad Omier and Wooga Poplar to the portal. But they still have plenty of depth on the current roster, thanks to guys like Matthew Cleveland, Nijel Pack, and 5-star incoming freshman guard, Jalil Bethea.

What they’re currently missing right now is a lead guard that can run the offense. As good a shooter/scorer as Pack is, Miami was at its best when another guard (Isaiah Wong) ran the offense. Richmond would be the ideal missing piece for a team with top-25 potential and could make a deep run in March.

St. John’s Red Storm

The Storm is certainly familiar with Richmond, having played him at least six times in Big East play in the past few years. They’re a team that lost most of its guards to graduation, including Daniss Jenkins and Jordan Dingle.

The mid-major transfers from a year ago weren’t good enough to get Coach Rick Pitino to the NCAA Tournament in his first year. So expect them to try for more proven high-major talent this time around in the portal. And with Richmond being a New York native, it makes all the sense in the world for them to link up.
