Arizona State Sun Devils

It’s been a big offseason for the Sun Devils on the high school recruiting trail, landing 5-star prospects, Joson Sanon and Jayden Quaintaince. The program seems to have become capable of getting top prospects so they very well could be in play for Yessoufou too. With transfer BJ Freeman leaving after next season, there will be room available for this 5-star target, regardless of what Sanon does himself.

Baylor Bears

Continuing the run of 5-star guard success stories at Baylor is VJ Edgecombe, already projected to be a “one and done” after next season. If that comes to fruition, the Bears will need a new star guard to take over the 2025-26 season. This could be one of the safer options for Yessoufou to play, both in terms of likely large role early on and the high chance of playing meaningful basketball in March.

Kansas Jayhawks

Everything that was said about Baylor can easily be said about Kansas, with Coach Bill Self being able to claim that he’s done it longer. One difference is that at Yessoufou’s position, there are two non-senior incoming transfers in AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen. So while the Jayhawks will always have loaded rosters via any kind of pipeline, it’s now not a guarantee for 5-star freshmen to get big minutes out the gate here.
