Illinois Fighting Illini

There’s been a change in the Illinois recruiting saga, as four-star guard Jeremiah Fears is out, while 5-star wing Will Riley is joining them for next season. Whether he’s a “one and done” or not, Illinois will be looking for a star shooting guard to replace Terrence Shannon Jr., the team’s star of the past two years. McKenney would easily slide in there in the 2025 class and be sold as the next Shannon for the program.

Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers have a lot of off-guards and wings who could be gone after next season. Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal are seniors, while former 5-star prospects, Bryson Tucker and Mackenzie Mgabko, could be off to the NBA. For a team that has lacked shooting and will likely need a go-to scorer on the 2025-26 roster, McKenney could be an ideal fit for them.

Miami Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have their highest-rated prospect ever out of high school joining them in guard Jalil Bethea, ranked in the top-10 overall. Coach Larranaga will likely be replacing him along with the trio of senior guards on the roster, including incoming transfers, Jalen Blackmon and AJ Staton-McCray. McKenney would easily slot in as a starter and Miami has a good history of its guards being future stars, both in the ACC and nationally.
