There are around a dozen former High School McDonald's All-Americans from the 2023 class who have since entered the NCAA Basketball transfer portal. One of them is Andrej Stojakovic, a 6'7 wing and don of former NBA All-star, Peja Stojakovic.

As a freshman at Stanford, the wing averaged 7.8 ppg and 3.4 rpg, shooting 41% from the field and 33% from three-point range. Stojakovic had nine games of double-digit scoring, including a season-high 20 points against USC, going 4/7 from deep.

The wing has had plenty of interest and some visits are starting to emerge. Reportedly, there are three programs in the mix for the freshman. Here's a closer look at how he'd fit with each of them.

Cal Bears

The Bears are fairly similar as a program/school as Stanford, including the fact that both teams are going to the ACC. Coach Mark Madsen is respected in NCAA Basketball and has landed some solid transfers in a rebuilding effort. But most of them are mid-major pickups and Stojakovic is a more proven player, even with just one year under his belt. This is the option where he'd be the focal point, instead of a role player with limited impact.

Kentucky Wildcats

Coach Mark Pope was after Stojakovic when he was at BYU but now he's at a much bigger job at Kentucky. They have plenty of open spots for him, having only San Diego State transfer Lamont Butler and top-40 freshman prospect Collin Chandler in the backcourt. Right now, there's plenty of room for Stojakovic to play but his odds of starting will depend on who else comes aboard.

North Carolina Tar Heels

With Cormac Ryan leaving, the Tar Heels will need to find a new prime shooter in their lineup. They bring back both RJ Davis and Elliott Cadeau in the backcourt so Stojakovic would have to start at the three-spot. Now, this team has been after other transfers, including Cade Tayson of Belmont. If they land one of them first, it could make this a less appealing option for the Stanford freshman.

Of the three options, UNC is the one with fewer unknowns but also potentially the more limited role overall. Stojakovic could be the guy at Cal but they're least likely to win among the three options. Either way, one of these teams are close to landing one of the more talented rising sophomores in NCAA Basketball.
