One of the top players in the NCAA Basketball transfer portal, Great Osobor seems to be down to a select group of options.

When it comes to surprising impact transfers from the past season, few were as big as Great Osobor. After two years at Montana State, the forward from England followed head coach Danny Sprinkle over to Utah State, where he blossomed into a star. Osobor led the team with 17.7 ppg and 9.0 rpg on 58% FG shooting, earning Mountain West Player of the Year honors.

After a coaching change, Osobor entered the transfer portal, where he has received plenty of attention. And now, we have a group of teams set to get a visit from him. Assuming the following four programs are the ones to watch, here's a look at Osobor's potential fit with each of them.

Kentucky Wildcats

New coach Mark Pope has added two quality defenders to the roster in Lamont Butler and Amari Williams. Ideally, the next pickup would be a more potent offensive player. The fact that both Williams and Osobor are from England should help in this recruitment as well.

Louisville Cardinals

Among the eight transfer pickups from new HC Pat Kelsey, six are mainly perimeter players, with the seventh being sit-out transfer, Aly Khalifa. Charleston transfer James Scott is a forward but is more of a depth piece than a focal point. This is an option where Osobor would have a large role in the offense and not have to worry about being in a logjam in the frontcourt.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Red Raiders have lost a lot of scoring production, including Warren Washington and Pop Isaacs. Among the pickups includes Drake transfer guard Kevin Overton, along with former Pittsburgh center, Federiko Federiko, who doesn't provide much offense. On paper, Osobor would be the top offensive option for the Big 12 program.

Washington Huskies

The last and obvious option is Osobor following HC Danny Sprinkle over to Washington. They're completely rebuilding as well. with Butler transfer guard DJ Davis being the lone notable addition so far. Osobor has found success with Sprinkle, wherever he goes. But the Huskies are the weakest team on paper and the other options are much closer to the NCAA Tournament picture, which might be the biggest obstacle to him going there.

Of the four options, three of them have brand new head coaches, with the fourth (Grant McCasland) being in a second season. The biggest name of the group is Kentucky, while Washington has the obvious connection. So it may be wide open overall for Osobor.
