Indiana Hoosiers

It’s been a strong start to the offseason for the Hoosiers so far, adding pieces in the backcourt. They landed five-star prospect Bryson Tucker, as well as Washington State guard transfer, Myles Rice. One area they’re looking to add is in the frontcourt, replacing Kel’el Ware, who is off to the NBA Draft.

With Payton Sparks going back to Ball State, the current frontcourt is just Malik Reneau and MacKenzie Mgbako. Both players can play multiple positions, leaving some room for Ballo to be inserted at the center spot. It might make for a clunky lineup again if Mgbako is forced to play at the 3-spot but it’s hard to say no to a big with a rebounding/defensive impact like Ballo.

Kansas State Wildcats

Last season, the guards were the ones who led the team on offense. With both Cam Carter and Tylor Perry gone, look for forward Arthur Kaluma to take an even bigger role. They could also use a center as a replacement for William McNair and Jerrell Colbert inside.

Under Coach Jerome Tang, Kansas State has one of the better offenses in NCAA Basketball. He’s been looking for an elite big man to anchor and improve the defense. After missing out on five-star center target Patrick Ngbonga, Ballo would be a nice alternative a month later.
