Georgetown Hoyas

The roster building for the Hoyas has gone fine on the perimeter, paring leading scorer Jayden Epps with Malik Mack from Harvard. And they’ve multiple forwards from the portal in Curtis Williams, Jordan Burks, and Micah Peavy. But the frontcourt has no depth, losing the likes of Ryan Mutombo and Supreme Cook and not replacing them.

This is an option where Onyenso would be the clear starter and can play up to 30 mpg next season. That could be very appealing for a player who has been in roster logjams previously. But does adding the Kentucky transfer make them a threat to make the NCAA Tournament and more competitive in the Big East?

Kansas State Wildcats

One of the quieter pickups in the transfer portal was Kansas State landing Baye Fall, a 6’10 forward from Arkansas who is a former 5-star prospect. He didn’t play much as a freshman this past season but could be a breakout candidate to watch next year.

Having a center duo of Onyenso and Fall would make the Wildcats very intriguing in Big 12 play, while already having Michigan transfer guard Dug McDaniel to run the offense. But there are other options that are more likely to win among the reported options.
