One of the top passers remaining in the NCAA Basketball transfer portal is A.J. Hoggard, a four-year player from Michigan State. He started the last two years, producing at least 5.0 apg both years and in double-digit scoring. This last season alone, the senior ball-handler is averaging 10.7 ppg and 5.2 apg.

At the end of the season, Hoggard had originally entered the NBA Draft. Head coach Tom Izzo made commentary in the offseason that he wasn't going to return to the Spartans so it looked as if he was going pro. Instead, in the last week before the deadline to enter the transfer portal, Hoggard gave himself another option, entering the portal himself.

With guys like Kadary Richmond, Javon Small, and Elijah Hawkins off the board, Hoggard instantly becomes one of the top point guards available for teams. We now know which ones are in the mix, with five teams battling it out. Here's a look at his potential fit with each of them.

Florida Gators

The Gators had one of the best backcourts in all of NCAA Basketball last season in Zyon Pullin and Walter Clayton. Pullin, who ran the offense at point, has no eligibility left. Clayton is currently in the NBA Draft process, potentially coming back for another year.

Either way, Florida could use a veteran ball-handler with experience like Hoggard to come in and command the offense. They got lucky with the mid-major imports this past season but the SEC is getting even better and a proven power conference player would be a great late addition, with or without Clayton.
