Kansas Jayhawks

Like many other teams in NCAA basketball, Kansas Jayhawks have largely shifted their focus toward the transfer portal instead of incoming recruits. However, their impact on recruiting should never be underestimated. After this season, the Jayhawks will see the departure of 2x consensus All-American Hunter Dickinson, making a viable path for Reibe to make an instant impact for the Jayhawks in 2025-26.

However, Bill Self will welcome five-star C Flory Bidunga this season who expects to take on an expanded role after the departure of Dickinson. Bidunga is widely viewed as a multi-year project. This would create a bit of an awkward logjam in the paint given both Reibe and Bidunga will look for more minutes, however, playing for a national championship program under a HOF head coach will never lose its appeal.

Kentucky Wildcats

It’s a new era of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. Even if their recruiting blueprint will change given that John Calipari and his staff have departed, Mark Pope’s fast-paced, three-point friendly system makes the Wildcats a desirable landing spot for Eric Reibe, a lefty who is certainly not afraid to step behind the arc despite his seven-foot frame.

After next season, the Wildcats will likely need to retool their frontcourt, which paves the way for Eric Reibe to enter the fold, making an impact in 2025-26. The system makes sense. The school makes sense. Expect the Kentucky Wildcats to be firmly in the mix.
