North Carolina Tar Heels

This offseason, the North Carolina Tar Heels were in the market for a big man. They swung for the fences and missed on a few highly-coveted targets, but ultimately landed with Ven-Allen Lubin out of Vanderbilt. James Brown, an incoming three-star recruit in the 2024 NCAA basketball recruiting class, will also enter the rotation this season.

Because Lubin and Brown have eligibility remaining after next season, both may come back, however, Reibe can offer floor spacing -- something that the two bigs do not have -- according to site expert Tristan Freeman, which will surely add a different dimension to UNC’s frontcourt in 2025-26 if Reibe commits.

Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes have a unique situation in their frontcourt next season that adds intrigue to Eric Reibe’srecruiting situation. To begin the offseason, Buckeye head coach Jake Diebler made splashes in the portal, landing former five-star recruit, Aaron Bradshaw, from Kentucky. Bradshaw was among the top centers in the 2023 NCAA basketball recruiting class.

What made Bradshaw’s transfer to Columbus interesting was the question regarding how Bradshaw would fit alongside Felix Okapra in the frontcourt. Okpara would transfer to Tennessee, opening minutes for Bradshaw in the paint. Even if Bradshaw, who suffered a foot injury last summer, struggled in his first season at Kentucky, his upside is still there, meaning if he elects to head to the NBA, a spot will open for Reibe to make an impact in Columbus.
