NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing top 12 teams for 5-star big Chris Cenac

Baylor Bears

Coach Scott Drew sent two more star freshmen to the NBA Draft last season, including former 5-star prospect Yves Missi. They have Miami transfer Norchad Omier and freshman big man Marion Dubravic on the roster, but there’s a need for a quality big man from the 2025 class. Cenac would be their first commitment, one of several top-20 targets.

Houston Cougars

Houston recently landed 5-star shooting guard prospect Isiah Harwell, their highest-ever ranked commitment. Cenac could beat him out for that award if they land him. They’ll be losing senior bigs J’Wan Roberts and Ja’Vier Francis after this year and will need a center in the class, one with the kind of offensive potential Coach Kelvin Sampson hasn’t had before.

Kentucky Wildcats

The Wildcats already have two commits in the 2025 class in Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno. What’s important here is that Moreno, a top-30 center prospect himself, is already on board. The team will lose senior transfer Amari Williams, and on paper, Cenac is ranked higher than Moreno. But here, there would be a competition for minutes,
