NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing top 3 teams for 4-star G Keyshuan Tillery
One of the better true point guards in the 2025 NCAA Basketball recruiting class is Keyshuan Tillery, a 6'0 ball-handler out of New Hampshire. Originally from New York, Tillery was one of the top passers in the EYBL Circuit, capable of distributing at a high level and scoring potential.
As a four-star and top-100 prospect, Tillery has had plenty of national interest. But the latest update in his recruitment has it down to just three teams in the running.
Which of them is the best potential fit? Here's a look at how Tillery fits with each potential landing spot.
Cincinnati Bearcats
The Bearcats have multiple senior guards on the roster, including starter, DaVeon Thomas. The key is Jizzle James, who had a strong freshman campaign and is a potential breakout guy to watch. If he's not around for long, that opens a future path for Tillery to be the next lead guard for the program.
Virginia Cavaliers
With long-time starter Reece Beekman gone, FSU transfer Jalen Warley will be running the offense. Kansas State transfer Dai Dai Ames and redshirt freshman Christian Bliss are also on the roster but neither are proven at this level. The Cavaliers are after another top-100 prospect in Chance Mallory and likely will only take one. Question is, which one are they most likely to get?
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Wake Forest returns star guard Hunter Sallis for next season, while also adding Louisville guard transfer, Ty-Laur Johnson. With Sallis set to leave, there's going to be a need for a ball-handler in the 2025 class.
The Demon Deacons recently landed four-star shooting guard prospect Isaac Carr and will be looking for at least one more guard in the next recruiting class. Coach Steve Forbes is one of the better developers in NCAA Basketball and that's a big selling point, though Johnson should be around for two more years after this.
