The Charlotte region in North Carolina has historically provided good talent to the NCAA Basketball level. That includes plenty of class of 2025 prospects. One of them is Gevonte Ware, a 6'9 frontcourt player that can play both power forward and center, due to his athleticism and physical play.

There are four programs in the mix to land Ware, ranked in the top 150 overall, and is considered a four-star prospect by some recruiting sites. Here's a closer look at how he'd fit with each of the options.

DePaul Blue Demons

The Demons already have a pair of class of 2025 commits, including big man Isaiah Medina. It's a program that's going to need a number of frontcourt players going forward, since current projected rotation pieces (JJ Traynor and David Skogman) will be gone after a year. It's a rebuilding situation but with new HC Chris Holtmann around, it's a program prospects can trust going forward such as Ware.

Duquesne Dukes

The profile for the Dukes has taken a big turn up after ending its long NCAA Tournament drought this past season. New coach Dru Joyce has targeted a few high-profile 2025 prospects such as Ware and as an A-10 team could offer him a larger role as a freshman, compared to other options here.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

The new-look frontcourt for the Knights is set to be fairly young this season after offseason transfers, with former Princeton forward Zach Martini being the exception. Four-star freshmen Dylan Grant and Lathan Sommerville could get some playing time, with Ware potentially being in a logjam if neither leave early. His style of play does fit Coach Steve Pikiell's system, making them a legit option for the prospect.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

As the "local" option, Wake Forest could have the edge here if Ware wants to stay close to home. They'll be looking for a frontcourt piece in the 2025 class, since both Efton Reid and Tre'Von Spillers will be gone after next season. They have a pair of sophomore transfers joining the team in Omaha Biliew and Churchill Abass, two players looking for extended playing time.

Depending on how they look, Ware could come in and be part of the rotation early. The biggest sell would be Coach Steve Forbes, one of the best developmental coaches in NCAA Basketball. Look for them to try to keep Ware at home to guarantee depth going forward.
