Northwestern Wildcats

Although star guard Boo Buie is gone, that doesn’t mean that Northwestern doesn’t have good players on the roster. Ty Berry and Brooks Barnhizer are coming back as proven Big Ten performers, while also adding Jalen Leach, who averaged over 16 ppg at Fairfield.

This would come down to either Leach or Blackmon for the other starting spot in the backcourt but the Stetson transfer would definitely have a nice role. But will the Wildcats still be in the NCAAT picture without Buie around? They might need Blackmon to have a shot at dancing again.

Villanova Wildcats

There’s been a fair amount of roster turnover for the Wildcats, losing guards Justin Moore, Hakim Hart, TJ Bamba, and Brendan Hausen. They are likely bringing back Mark Armstrong to run the offense and they did land Tyler Perkins, who averaged 16 ppg as a freshman at Penn.

Blackmon would likely start at Villanova, based on the current roster. But the team is after other targets in the portal as well. Plus, this current group isn’t good enough to make the NCAA Tournament and some have questions about the current head coach, Kyle Neptune. Still, Villanova is the biggest name on this list, and with minutes available, it’ll be hard to pass up.
