Arkansas Razorbacks

When head coach John Calipari was at Kentucky, they were after Thomas hard. So months after the coaching change to Arkansas, it makes sense that one SEC program was switched out for the other. Still, Coach Cal will continue trying to land 5-star prospects and considering the limited depth, Thomas could come in and likely be a leading option since Johnell Davis won’t be around next year and incoming 5-star freshman guard Boogie Fland could be a “one and done” draft prospect himself.

Auburn Tigers

As with Arkansas, Auburn also has a 5-star incoming freshman guard joining the team in Tahaad Pettiford. He’s the only non-senior guard on the roster, as transfers JP Pegues and Miles Kelly are entering their final seasons. So Thomas would be allowed to be the lead guard a year from now.

Kansas Jayhawks

The Jayhawks have a prolific history of guard development, ultimately to the NBA. They’ll be losing long-term starting guard Dajuan Harris, along with senior transfer Zeke Mayo. They do have a couple of veteran off-guard transfers in AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen, who could be the lead guards on the team once Thomas arrives. This would be the option where Thomas has to be more of a point guard than playing off-the-ball, which could be preferred by him.
