Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers, another fellow SEC program that has made waves on the NCAA basketball recruiting trail, have an interesting case to land the forceful talent of AJ Dybantsa, who visited the Tigers in early March 2024. After the conclusion of the upcoming season, Johni Broome, Chad Baker-Mazara Miles Kelly (Georgia Tech) and Chaney Johnson will depart the frontcourt. This means there will be plenty of room for Dybantsa not only to seamlessly step in, but make an impact similar -- or even greater -- to what top-three NBA Draft pick Jabari Smith Jr. had with Auburn in 2022.

Baylor Bears

After winning the national title game four seasons ago, Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears have made Waco, Texas an attractive recruiting destination. Since 2022, Baylor has had five players selected in the NBA Draft. All five were freshmen and four were first-round picks. Over the past four seasons, the Bears were among college basketball’s top offensive teams in terms of efficiency, making their style of play an intriguing pitch for the electrifying recruit in AJ Dybantsa. Because the only sure-fire notable departure on next year’s roster in the frontcourt is Norchad Omier (Miami FL), questions remain about how Dybantsa will fit. Yet, thanks to Scott Drew being familiar with three-guard starting lineups, having Dybantsa fill in an off-ball role would be something not only Drew is comfortable with, but AJ as well.
