BYU Cougars

In Kevin Young’s short four months leading BYU, the Cougars have been a threat on the recruiting trail thanks to his NBA ties and connections. Kanon Catchings and Egor Demin highlight its top-12 composite recruiting class, according to 24/7 Sports. Denim, a 6-foot-8 forward from Russia, currently finds himself on many first-round 2025 NBA Mock Drafts, further demonstrating the NBA pipeline Young is looking to develop in Provo. Although the chances of the Cougars landing Dybantsa seem low, if Demin can carve out an NBA-ready, instant-impact role in year one, it might shake things up in the recruiting process given that the Cougars are in-state.

Kansas Jayhawks

Even if the Kansas Jayhawks have shifted their focus toward transfers rather than traditional NCAA recruiting, it does not diminish Bill Self and the Jayhawks' impact on the recruiting trail. From history to tradition to NBA talents to resources -- the Jayhawks have it all. Looking ahead at how AJ Dybantsa will fit at KU, the sure-fire departee from the wings after this season in KJ Adams Jr. The ultra-talented AJ Storr (Wisconsin) is TBD, as he has made it clear he is looking to play in the NBA, however, he will need to find consistency on both ends of the floor this season. Thankfully, playing for Bill Self may help (just) a bit, meaning the Jayhawks will be an attractive landing spot for AJ Dybantsa.
