One of the best pure ball-handlers in the 2025 NCAA Basketball recruiting class is Acaden Lewis, a 6'3 guard from Washington, D.C. He's a rising star in the upcoming class, capable of scoring at a high level while also a quality distributor.

While Lewis is a good enough shooter to play off the ball, he projects to be a true point guard in college. And now, we know which teams are in the mix to land him, with eight of the biggest names in NCAA Basketball after Lewis.

Which of these teams makes the most sense? Focusing on the roster, here's a closer look at how Lewis will fit with them.

Auburn Tigers

The previous backcourt logjam has been cleared up this offseason, as guards Tre Donaldson, KD Johnson, and Aden Holloway all transferred out. That leaves senior transfer guard JP Pegues, as well as incoming 5-star guard prospect, Tahaad Pettiford. If Peittford ends up being a "one and done" to the NBA, then Lewis would have a great shot at a big role as a freshman a year from now.

However, if Pettiford is effective but not a proven pro prospect right away, that could change things. There's also the point that Auburn is also after several top-30 prospects in the 2025 class , including Jasper Johnson, Mikel Brown Jr., and Meleek Thomas. If any of them commits, that could affect Lewis' standing.

Duke Blue Devils

Another blue blood program also after 5-star prospects is Duke, who has two ball-handlers on the roster with pro potential in Tyrese Proctor and Caleb Foster. Plus, Tulane transfer Sion James is entering his senior season and around for just one year.

With the Blue Devils, Lewis would have to commit, knowing the team will land other top-tier players in the 2025 class, Once could be Cayden Boozer, a top-20 PG prospect whose father (Carlos) is a former star at the program. There likely will be other options that has a safer path to playing time here.
