4. Arizona (20-5)

At their best, Arizona can hang with just about any team in the nation. They beat Duke, Alabama, and Wisconsin during nonconference play and hung around for a while with Purdue. On the other hand, they’ve dropped three Pac-12 road games that all could have been wins, including a rotten performance at Stanford on New Year’s Eve. Is this inconsistency in league play a concern?

The Wildcats have been winning a lot lately and kept that streak going this week in style. Arizona delivered in a major way against their in-state rivals, winning 105-60 over Arizona State in a blowout on Saturday night. Jaden Bradley scored 21 points off the bench, Oumar Ballo had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and four other Wildcats scored in double figures in quite the laugher over the Sun Devils.

Now winners of six in a row, Arizona is up to 11-3 in Pac-12 play and look like an elite team once again. There’s been much better play in recent weeks from the Wildcats, who have done efficient work to put those disappointing losses far in the rearview mirror. The Wildcats are unquestionably the overwhelming favorite in the Pac-12 and will continue proving that next week against Washington and Washington State.
