8. Zyon Pullin (Florida)

Pullin really emerged as a talented guard across four seasons at UC Riverside, though we’re not here to rave about his time with the Highlanders. His impressive work in the Big West caught many eyes, leading Pullin to transfer across coasts, landing at Florida this past offseason. Former West Coast coach Todd Golden was certainly familiar with his game and Pullin became a key piece for the Gators in his lone season in the SEC.

While the numbers were a step beneath his final year in Riverside, there wasn’t much complaining as Pullin averaged 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game at Florida. He was named First Team All-SEC, helping the Gators back to the NCAA Tournament with a sixth place finish in the league. He’d finish second in the conference in assists per game and was a highly-rated offensive player throughout the season.

He scored in double-figures in all but one of the Gators’ games this season despite not becoming a starter until late December. Pullin had several 20-point performances, including in games against Georgia, Kentucky, and Missouri, and was a consistent offensive weapon all year for the Gators. He played relatively well in that crazy season-ending loss to Colorado in the NCAA Tournament after a brilliant run in the SEC Tourney and took great advantage of that fifth and final collegiate campaign.
