3. Jonathan Mogbo (San Francisco)

Mogbo is another collegiate player who was constantly on the move. He showed potential in brief stints at Independence CC and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M before finally catching on at the D1 level. That catch came with Missouri State and saw him put up nice figures, but the Florida native was on the move again, this time landing on the West Coast. Mogbo just completed the season with his fourth school in four years but it was by far his best effort.

In what was another very solid year at San Francisco, Mogbo would average 14.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, joining a short list of players to average a double-double this season. Mogbo earned First Team All-WCC honors as the league’s top rebounder while also leading the conference in steals and field goal percentage. The Dons squeaked out a 3rd place finish in the WCC thanks in large part to Mogbo’s dominant efforts on the year.

In a win at Vanderbilt in early December, Mogbo had 14 rebounds and 10 assists, though not the scoring for a triple-double. A few weeks later he put up 30 points and 18 rebounds in a dominant win at Pacific and would have quite a run of double-doubles that season. He didn’t fare well against the strongest teams in the WCC, but did help take the Dons to the NIT, with a 10-point, 10-rebound, 7-assist effort against Cincinnati to end his season.
