NCAA Basketball: Top 10 players to wear jersey No. 11 in 2023-24 season

4. Oumar Ballo (Arizona)
Having been brought to Gonzaga by Tommy Lloyd five years ago, it wasn’t shocking to see him follow his coach to Arizona two seasons later. This move was beneficial for both sides as the former Gonzaga benchwarmer has transformed into a dynamic center during these last two seasons with the Wildcats. In fact, Ballo is fresh off a season where he averaged a double-double and got Arizona into the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament once again.
This senior year saw Ballo average 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, earning himself First Team All-Pac-12 honors for a second straight season. Not only was he one of the nation’s top rebounders, his 65.8% field goal percentage ranked fifth in the country. Ballo was an efficient bucket on offense and an impactful force on defense, wreaking havoc across basketball games all season long.
He had a decent impact on early wins over Duke and Michigan State, but really became a force during league play, with a double-double in nearly all of Arizona’s Pac-12 matchups. Even before that, he had 21 rebounds in a tough loss to Florida Atlantic and would later drop a season-high 22 points against California en route to a regular season title. Ballo even had 15 points and 15 rebounds in the Wildcats’ Sweet Sixteen loss to Clemson, his final game with Arizona before transferring to Indiana last month.
