9. Cliff Omoruyi (Rutgers)

Omoruyi was a Top 50 prospect who committed to Rutgers way back in 2020. The last four years saw him develop into their starting center, putting up impressive numbers during a very prosperous era of Rutgers basketball. While the Scarlet Knights took a step back this season, Omoruyi was still one of the more productive big men in the Big Ten.

He’d average 10.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game while making just over 51% of his shots from the field. Not only was he efficient on offense, he also led the Big Ten in blocked shots and earned his way onto the league’s All-Defense team. In fact, Omoruyi was third in the nation in blocks per game, making an all-around impact for Rutgers in the paint this season.

Omoruyi had 25 points and 11 rebounds in a win over LIU, and latter topped 20 points again in a tough loss to Illinois during league play. Perhaps most notable was his 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 blocks in a December win at Seton Hall, though he’d also have multiple games with 8 blocks. Rutgers struggled down the stretch, but he did have 19 points and 15 rebounds in their final win of the season over Michigan.
