7. Nick Davidson (Nevada)

Two years ago, Davidson took a redshirt year before beginning his career with the Wolf Pack. He was far from a household name, even in MWC households, but has quickly become quite a force at Nevada. He put up decent figures off the bench as a freshman before taking a bona fide step forward during his sophomore season.

Davidson, now a starter for the Wolf Pack, averaged 12.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, earning Third Team All-MWC honors. His 66% mark from inside the arc was 2nd in the league, while he was also one of the MWC’s best rebounders. Most importantly, he grew into a major role on a Nevada team that won 26 games, finished 2nd in the MWC, and got back to the NCAA Tournament.

He wasted no time adhering himself in the starting lineup, hitting double figures in most of Nevada’s early games, including a 19-point, 16-rebound effort over Temple. After playing well in nonconference wins over Washington and TCU, Davidson contributed to numerous important wins in league play. He had 25 points and 10 rebounds in a road win at Utah State and later scored 15 points to end his season in the NCAA Tournament in a tough loss to Dayton.
