10. Milos Uzan (Oklahoma)

On the court, things haven’t exactly gone as planned at Oklahoma in recent seasons. Regardless of what’s happened with the Sooners, it’s clear that Uzan stood out as an underclassman with a ton of potential. He had very solid numbers in a big role as a freshman and took a bit of a step forward this past season as a sophomore. That step forward alone didn’t get Oklahoma back to the Big Dance, but it still proved that Uzan is a young guard on the rise.

The Vegas native was a full-time starter in the Sooners’ backcourt, averaging 9.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Though Uzan did lead Oklahoma in assists, his shooting numbers took a slight step back despite being a more utilized piece in this offense. His game all around took a definite step forward, contributing on an Oklahoma team that showed signs of promise during a 20-win season in a tough Big 12.

After smaller roles in early wins over Iowa and USC, Uzan had 17 points and 12 rebounds in an early December win over Providence. He had another double-double a few weeks later at TCU and scored 15 points in a key win over BYU in February. Uzan also ended his season on a high note, scoring 15 points in the Sooners’ loss to TCU in the league tournament. Despite Oklahoma leaving for the SEC, he’s staying in the Big 12 with Houston next season, hoping to build on this momentum as an upperclassman.
