NCAA Basketball: Top 10 players to wear jersey No. 13 in 2023-24 season
By Joey Loose
2. Graham Ike (Gonzaga)
As a sophomore at Wyoming, Ike had a marvelous standout season, helping lead the Cowboys to the Big Dance and a massive turnaround. He put up incredible stats as an underclassman, but then lost his entire next season to injury. After sitting out a year, he opted to transfer to Gonzaga, getting back on the court this time as a monumental part of the Bulldogs’ frontcourt. He didn’t quite exactly match his level of production from Wyoming, but his redshirt junior season was certainly memorable.
Ike would average 16.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, making 61% of his field goals while barely missing a beat after that year off the court. Nobody in the WCC scored more points than him this season, more than enough reason to earn First Team All-WCC honors. He was among the nation leaders when it came to his interior offense, and despite Gonzaga’s 2nd place finish in the conference he’d help take them back to the Sweet Sixteen.
Ike played well early in the year, with 16 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Syracuse before several other solid efforts. He’d make a habit of great performances against weaker conference foes. In the final week of the regular season he had 26 points at San Francisco and a 24-point, 10-rebound effort at Saint Mary’s. During the NCAA Tournament, he had three double-digit affairs including 18 points and 10 rebounds in the season-ending loss to Purdue.
