Honorable Mentions

Langston Love (Baylor)

We truly haven’t seen the best Love has to offer, as the former Top 50 prospect missed his freshman year due to medical issues and has been relegated to a bench role for the Bears. Regardless, he played key minutes for Baylor this past season, averaging 11.0 points and 2.9 rebounds a game. He didn’t shoot a ton of 3-pointers but made 48% of his limited attempts, providing a spark for a team that would finish 3rd in the Big 12.

Olivier Nkamhoua (Michigan)

Nkamhoua grew into an important role across his four seasons at Tennessee but opted to transfer to Michigan this past offseason. Perhaps a mistake, as the Wolverines really faltered, Nkamhoua still had the most impressive figures of his career with 14.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He was Michigan’s top rebounder and had great scoring numbers, though his team’s struggles certainly overshadowed his final collegiate campaign.

Josh Oduro (Providence)

Oduro was a fantastic player for four years at George Mason before choosing to follow head coach Kim English to Providence this past season. The Friars certainly benefitted from this decision, as Oduro put up 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game as a starting forward. While Providence fell short of the Big Dance, Oduro finished Top 10 in the Big East in points, rebounds, and blocks per game, putting quite a bow on his own career.

Solomon Washington (Texas A&M)

Looking just at some of the raw numbers, it’s easy to be underwhelmed by Washington’s production as a sophomore, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. He averaged 7.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, taking a definite step forward in his second collegiate season. The Aggies started him for more than half the season and won 21 games, with Washington becoming a great interior defender.

Trazarien White (UNC Wilmington)

After a year playing junior college ball in his home state of Texas, White found a home at UNC Wilmington and has grown into a monster contributor for the Skyhawks. White averaged 19.8 points and 6.8 rebounds a game, earning First Team All-CAA honors as one of that conference’s most productive weapons. He was extremely important to basketball success during a 21-10 season in Wilmington and will hope to build on that next year at TCU.
